Project Notice - Old Rochester Rd. & Indigo Hill Rd. Water Main Replacement Project

The City of Somersworth has contracted with N. Granese & Sons to replace water mains within the City’s distribution system. Work will begin on Old Rochester Road on Monday July 6, starting at 7am. The goal of these projects is to replace aging water infrastructure in your area to improve water quality, enhance fire protection, and ensure system reliability. These projects involve installing new water mains, replacing water service lines, and installing new fire hydrants.

The project limits are as follows:

  • Old Rochester Road – From 351 Old Rochester Road to 280 Old Rochester Road
  • Indigo Hill Road – From Main Street to Rita Street

During the project, you will see a lot of construction activity along the above-described project areas. We recognize that this work will be disruptive, however this work is essential for maintaining reliable water service for our community for years to come. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to complete this construction safely and efficiently. Traffic flow within the construction zones and access to homes will be maintained; however, traffic delays should still be anticipated. Traffic signage will be set up to provide directions to drivers and pedestrians on how to navigate around construction activities safely.
