Historic Walking Tour

The Somersworth Cemetery Trustees are excited to host three events at Furber Chapel this month. This is the first time the Chapel doors have opened for live performances since 2019. All events are free, all ages, and open to the general public.

Sunday, Oct 22, Cemetery Tour @ 1:30pm: Local historian Peter Michaud hosts this one-of-a-kind walking tour across Forest Glade Cemetery. Discover the origins of the cemetery beginning in 1851. Explore the significance of the unique historic structures, tombstones and plots. The tour begins at the Italianate Well House located next to Furber Chapel.

Live Music @ 3:00pm: Furber Chapel hosts Green Heron, a well-renowned and acclaimed folk duo representing all old-time styles including Americana, bluegrass, country, Celtic and blues music. https://greenheronmusic.com/
