~ Patriot Home Decorating Contest ~
This year America celebrates it's 250th birthday. To honor that birthday we want you to deck out your homes in your best red, white and blue! To enter this exciting contest simply decorate the outside of your home, snap some pics and email them to us at jholmes@somersworthnh.gov and we'll do the rest.
We can't wait to see how creative you can get Somersworth!

~ Easter Egg Hunt 2026 ~
A huge thank you to all who attended this years Easter egg hunt. Due to inclement weather we took the difficult decision to take the hunt inside at the Middle School Gym. It took just a few minutes for the entire 5,500 eggs to disappear!
We would also like to thanks all those who helped make this event a success. This includes our High School volunteers, the Somersworth Girl Scout Troop, the Somersworth Public Library and the School Custodians. Without all of you this event would not be possible so thank you!

~ Annual Recreation Special Events ~
| Valentine's Dance | Girls & Boys in grades K-6th. Children in grades K-6 are invited to share a fun-filled evening with their special date (dad, mom, grandparent uncle, aunt, etc.) There will be a professional DJ, Photo Booth, raffle prizes, door gifts, light refreshments, and so much more! Easter Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt | Free event for children ages 3-12. Join Somersworth Recreation and the Easter Bunny for our annual Egg Hunt. Help collect thousands of prize-filled eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny, and check-out the big raffle prize. | National Night Out | Free for the community. Join the Somersworth Police Department, various City Departments, and many other local organizations and businesses for this fun evening designed to bridge the gap between law enforcement and community members. Food will be available as well as raffle prizes, lots of fun activities in the park, and plenty of great local resources. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
| Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt | Free for children ages 3-12. Help collect thousands of candy canes nestled throughout the high school football field. There will be a chance to visit with Santa so don't forget to bring your camera! We'll also have hot cocoa, cookies, and holiday music.
