2025 Parking Study

On April 24 & May 4, 2025, the City of Somersworth held a Parking Study in collaboration with Strafford Regional Planning Commission for its public parking lots and on-street parking. A parking study helps a community determine how effective the current parking is, and where to add parking or change regulations, hours, etc. With assistance from volunteers, walk-throughs of various parking lots were completed in groups once an hour to document the spaces that are occupied and determine how long lots are used. Parking study locations included downtown Somersworth along Main Street, Market Street, and around City Hall and the Somersworth Plaza shopping center. Thank you to all of the volunteers that dedicated their time to participate.
