NEW: Seed Sharing Library
The Somersworth Public Library Seed Sharing Initiative is a new collaborative effort to enrich the gardening community in Somersworth and give more people access to fresh crops while protecting agricultural resources. Kickstarted by Moose Mountain Seed Savers, the Seed Sharing Initiative will allow patrons to borrow up to five packets of seeds at a time to sow in their home gardens. Information is provided on the seed saving process so that patrons may return properly saved seeds to the library for future use in the next growing season. This endeavor will help the community create more sustainable, self-sufficient gardens.
